Machine Shop Services
Our CNC machines, saws, and drills are in production every working day to fill your custom order. We are your supplier for customized fasteners, drilled head and threads. Each order is given personal attention for quality.
Every project follows a rigorous inspection process from the start of production to the point of delivery.
A recent expansion increased machine shop capabilities. We have the right tooling and technicians to produce machined items to very tight tolerances.
The Nut Place has the manufacturing and machining capability to produce a wide range of components and handle large volumes.
We machine a wide range of materials, from plastics, mild steel, Stainless steel, and Inconel. We offer thread cutting services on our Landis machines for studs, tap ends and double ends from 3/8ӯ up to 2-1/2ӯ. We have automatic CNC saws to cut all thread studs to any length. Our stud chamfer machines ensure the studs are free from burrs and defects. We have a wide range of CNC machines including Y axis machines that can manufacture a part 100% complete in one operation, eliminating the cost of a secondary operation.
Our machine shop equipment enables us to do basic or advanced projects. For example, we provide broaching services to manufacture socket head screws. Broaching is a metalworking process that forms the hex in a fastener. Every project goes through an inspection process by our experienced machinist. Our turnaround times are faster. Whether import or domestic raw material, our machinist take care to produce a quality, finished product to your spec. We are constantly expanding our equipment and capabilities to serve our customer’s needs. Our machine shop manager has more than 23 years of experience. We perform threading services on standard and metric fasteners and studs. Where? Not somewhere else…..but right here on-site at The Nut Place. Our machinists make it happen…carefully and precisely. We don’t stop there. We finish each item with a beveled tip called chamfering for easy nut assembly. At The Nut Place, our in-house machine shop can produce almost any kind of fastener with great turnaround times.
We also specialize in the ability to do a high volume of drilled head or drilled thread products in a short amount of time, either to spec or to a customer’s drawing, as well as stocking many different popular sizes. The Nut Place has increased its stocking levels of these popular items. We keep a ton of drilled-heads in stock.

Our CNC equipment can manufacture from 1/4 Ø up to 8-1/2”Ø. We have skilled machinist , use Mastercam for our Cad/Cam software and have a full time programmer on staff. We have a dedicated inspection department to ensure quality. We have implemented a First Article Inspection system to eliminate any quality issues before they happen. Because we have a wide range of equipment types, The Nut Place has the manufacturing and machining capability to produce a wide range of components and handle large volumes.
We can manufacture using standard specifications, from a customer drawing, or from a customer sample. We offer CNC Milling, Turning, Threading, Drilling, Stenciling and Engraving. We are capable of prototype parts and production runs. Our lot size can range from 1 piece to 1,000 pieces.
Another feature of the machine shop is our Safety Bolt production. Safety wire is used with a drilled-head bolt to secure it so that vibration doesn’t loosen it. Click the button to learn more.
