Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
To me Easter means:
Eternal life.
1 Thessalonians 4:14 “For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, in the same way, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep.”
To me Easter means:
The tomb means God loves us so much that he sent his only Son to take away our sins. And Jesus gave us the example of how we should treat others and take care of those who cannot take care of themselves.
Matthew 28:6
He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.
To me Easter means:
Jesus paid the full price for my sins—a price I could never afford—through His death on the cross. He did this so that, by simply believing in Him, I could receive the free gift of eternal life in Heaven.
This isn't because I've earned it or deserve it in any way. It's purely because of His grace.
At the same time, God respects our free will. If someone chooses to live their life rejecting Him and refusing His offer, He won't force them into His presence in eternity. Ultimately, the choice is yours.
John 19:30 It is finished.
To me Easter means:
Cross, tomb & resurrection cannot be separated. They mean REDEMPTION to me.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
To me Easter means:
The Bible says I was dead because of sin and deserved death, but Jesus was crucified for my sin. He resurrected on the third day. So, as a believer, sin has no control over me. I have been set free from the bondage of sin.
Romans 8 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.
To me Easter means:
The spiritual events of the cross, tomb, and resurrection aren’t heavy subjects. To some they are, but they don’t have to be. Don’t let the heaviness of sin come over you. It is good to know about sin because Jesus enters into those sinful areas of our life and redeems us when we allow Him.
Luke 24:36-39 As they were talking about these things, Jesus himself stood among them, and said to them, “Peace to you!” But they were startled and frightened and thought they saw a spirit. And he said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts? See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.”
To me Easter means:
A chance for forgiveness, redemption, renewal, and eternal life.
